Anne-Marie has a genuine passion for, and commitment to, family law. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2000 after having worked as a Legal Associate to a Family Court Judge and has practiced her entire career in this jurisdiction.
Committed to both the practice and evolution of family law, throughout her career she has voluntarily served as an Executive committee member of Queensland’s and Australia’s major legal organisations including the Law Council of Australia’s Family Law Section – the peak representative body for family lawyers in Australia. A highly sought-after mediator, she also has a strong interest in teaching, being the Family Law course coordinator and lecturer at the University of Queensland where she has been nominated for the Excellence in Teaching award.
Anne-Marie has been a contributing author to the CCH loose leaf service and Master Family Law Guide for many years. She is also currently a contributing editor (Alternate Dispute Resolution) to the Australian Family Law Review and her professional standing has seen her represent the profession in discussions with the Courts and other associated organisations, including in relation to Collaborative Practice.
Doyle’s Guide has consistently recognised her as a “Leading” family lawyer in Brisbane, including for 2016.

James is an experienced litigator with more than 20 years’ experience and has expertise in conducting negotiations, mediation and litigation in all major areas of family law including property settlements, spouse maintenance, prenuptial and nuptial agreements, Part VIIIAB (de facto) relationship agreements and settlements, parenting and child support matters.
He is known as a trusted advisor and fearless advocate. His meticulous preparation means he thrives in resolving complex matters where there is significant uncertainty of outcome and where he can negotiate for the best result or deftly navigate complex litigation.

Kieran has practiced Family Law for more than 20 years and has been an Accredited Family Law Specialist since 2001. He has a well established reputation for providing expert and empathetic advice to become a trusted advisor to his clients. He is focused on working towards a resolution before litigation. Routinely acknowledged by his peers, is recognised by his peers as a “Leading” family lawyer in the most recent Doyle’s Guide.
Kieran counts as some of his most rewarding experiences those coming from assisting people to resolve issues that have international complexities. He has acted for clients in and from several overseas jurisdictions including the UK, New Zealand, The Philippines, India and the UAE.
His legal formation in the regional sphere has also given him a special interest in matters involving rural property disputes. Other areas of interest include injunctions and other interim relief.
Outside of work, Kieran also sits on one of Queensland’s major not-for-profit boards and occasionally leads military history tours to the Australian battlefields of France and Belgium.

Bruce has more than 20 years’ experience in international family law (UK and Australia) and is the Chair of the Queensland Law Society Family Law Specialist Accreditation Committee. An Accredited Specialist, Bruce offers a wealth of family law knowledge and is a renowned expert in children’s matters. His appointments are numerous and include the Law Society’s Children’s Panel, as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, and as a Member of the Queensland Law Society Working Sub-Group responsible for certain recommendations from the “Not Now, Not Ever” Report into Domestic Violence.
Bruce is a nationally accredited mediator and a registered family dispute resolution practitioner and has a track-record for providing concise, accurate advice. His legal background includes experience in criminal law, litigation and discrimination.
The 2016 Doyle’s Guide has recognised Bruce as a “Recommended” family lawyer.
With 15 years’ experience in family law, Kirstie is an Accredited Specialist who helps clients navigate the legal landscape to come to binding resolutions. She takes a pragmatic approach to family law looking for outcomes which are timely, efficient and cost-effective.
Kirstie is regarded by her peers as a firm yet approachable and courteous adversary. Her clients feel secure in her stewardship of their matters and regularly refer family, friends and colleagues to Kirstie’s safe legal hands.
Kirstie has a particular interest in complex financial and parenting issues and has accumulated broad experience in both areas. She has successfully instructed in a number of complex property matters with international considerations, in both the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court, both at trial and on appeal.

Louise has 13 years’ experience in the legal profession and seven years specialising as a family lawyer. An Accredited Specialist, she has a track record of successfully assisting clients to resolve their matters through alternative methods of dispute resolution, however also if necessary, through litigation.
With a background in commercial law she is a known expert in complex property and parenting issues. An effective negotiator and trained Collaborative Lawyer, Louise assists clients to resolve their matters as amicably as possible.

Erin joined the firm after obtaining her early career formation in the bear pit of Sydney law. She brings to our practice a tenacity that has been honed in complex litigation for high net worth clients, along with valuable perspectives on how nuanced regional variations of a federal jurisdiction can be. She has, as a result of her experience, a genuine interest in complex, high-end financial disputes.

Anna has worked exclusively in Family Law since her admission as a Solicitor. Anna’s experience at the Federal Magistrates Court has provided her with a thorough working knowledge of Family Law and its processes. Anna is committed to providing clear advice to her clients, to ensure they understand the process and are comfortable with any action before it is taken. Her ability to communicate effectively with clients and practitioners alike ensures she gets the best results for her clients.
Anna’s passion for and interest in this area of the law is further demonstrated by her leadership role as Chair of the NSW Young Lawyers Family Law Committee, which ensures she is kept up to date with the ever changing area of Family Law. Anna’s keen attitude and ability to really listen to clients ensures that clients receive a comprehensive service.
Anna is originally from Brisbane and was awarded a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from Griffith University. Anna was actively involved in the community legal sector as a volunteer and fundraising for various community projects.

Harry comes from a Sydney family law practice, where he built broad litigation experience in property and parenting matters. He aims to be straightforward in his work – giving no-nonsense and practical advice. He has a particular interest in difficult parenting matters, and property matters involving novel legal issues.

Sophie is newly admitted as a solicitor but brings a years’ worth of para-legal experience in family law, She is committed to helping clients navigate their parenting and property settlement matters and to focus their lives in a positive direction.
She is recognised as an intelligent and compassionate practitioner whose previous professional and client care skills are obvious to all who work with her.
Lilian is completing her Bachelor of Laws and as a part of that exercise is providing the firm with valuable paralegal support. Lilian takes the view that there is nothing like learning at the coal face under the guidance of experienced practitioners.
